First Post!

Hi everyone! This is my first post on my new blog! I hope to use this as an outlet for my struggle to navigate through life as a new wife to a minister and a first year teacher. I guess I will start of by telling everyone a little about myself.
I'm in my twenties, and a recent college graduate. I attended Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina (go Bulldogs!!) where I met my husband, Brian. There, I joined Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority which changed my life in so many amazing ways. Brian and I got married on July 13 of this year. It was a beautiful church wedding and our reception was at a local vineyard.
Brian is a youth minister at a Southern Baptist church in the area. August 28th marks my first official day as a middle school art teacher! Art and kids are my two greatest passions, so I absolutely cannot wait to begin my journey as an educator.
About a year ago, Brian and I made our first big purchase together--an Italian Greyhound puppy. I know, I know, its terrible to buy when there are thousands of animals in need of adoption. But hey, Brian fell in love with her and there's no telling him no when he makes his puppy-eyes at me. A year later, I can say its one of the greatest purchases we'll ever make! She's been such a light in our lives and I love her more every day. That being said, she's a total spoiled brat and tends to do what she wants no matter what anyone says. Including sneaking into our stash of mini candy bars whenever she pleases.

Tonight when Brian gets home from work (I know, work on a Saturday should be illegal) we're heading to the grocery store. Sounds boring, but now that Brian is trying to go gluten-free, its been an adventure. I'm a little hesitant to commit (I love bread!!!!), but I may give it a try in the future. Has anyone had success with a gluten-free lifestyle?
